How could math be spiritual? Let me tell you my story, the story of how I became aware that math is a reflection of the language of 'God', or the Universe (however you personally define that.) The problem with math, for most people, is that we take it too literally. It is not about numbers. Numbers are just codes. Like keys, certain codes, can unlock patterns of energy, explain the forces of the galaxy, and for us, they can even awaken new levels of consciousness. Math, in this sense, is something to be experienced.
Since a young adult I searched for, what I now explain simply as, the sacred connection. There was more than meets the eye, beyond the mundane and superficial aspects of what has been neatly packaged up and sold to us as reality. There was too much that stuck out, appearing not to fit. As a young adult I was asking some mighty deep questions. I was on the path to find the key codes of consciousness which would masterfully weave the many disjointed and anomalous pieces together. If it is Truth, it will all connect.
From the first moment I saw what has come to be known as the Flower of Life (FoL), I was awestruck. Something within this sacred symbol awakened a part of my being that had previously lay dormant in deep spiritual hibernation. For those who are not familiar, the FoL is a fundamental and ancient design that contains all proportions of all life in the universe. Quite a bold sell I know, but this shape both represents, and encompasses, all the major aspects of what is known as Sacred Geometry. Now yes, we are talking about math, but not the kind that we learned in school I assure you. This ancient geometric symbol has been represented across the world; in Egypt, Turkey, China, Italy, India, Greece, Rome, and Tibet. Leonardo da Vinci, the master inventor and artist, was well studied in the principles of the FoL.
To develop a complete mind; Study the science of art; Study the art of science. Learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else.
~Leonardo da Vinci
The FoL contains many major spiritual and religious symbols within it; the Star of David of Judaism, the Ichthys (fish) of Christianity, Hindu mandalas of the chakra system etc. This in itself is quite alluring, that when looking deeper, even the major theologies share some common root. Consider, for a moment, that this is how the most sacred of ancient knowledge was passed on—through symbols. Only symbols could protect the integrity of the deep meaning, incorruptible to outer influence. In the mystery schools, once initiated into the significance [behind what appeared to any layman to be just another pretty picture] you could unlock the door to hidden wisdom.
Every layer of the FoL represents a connection and another level of our ascending consciousness. The key codes to all life in the universe; from cells to stars, from DNA to galaxies, from flowers to the largest animals alive; are all contained within this incredible blueprint of Life.
Let’s start with a circle (day one): which represents the wheel of life, the continuous flow of energy, with no beginning or end, like the description of the creator in most religions. Day two is the first union (also known as the Vesica Pisces: two circles intersecting perfectly, the edge of each within the center of the other. This represents light, wave particles, love, and connection. It also represents the beginning of life with cell division. Day three continues into the trinity (three circles): which may represent the father, mother, child (Creator, Holy Spirit and creation) or mind, spirit and body. Balance is always maintained. Further onward and we come into the seed of life (day seven): the complete pattern containing within it the blueprint for all further patterns.
We once knew something deeper about ourselves. We once understood the connection between our earth and the heavens, between art and mathematics, between energy and human consciousness. The revered masters of the ages went to great lengths to preserve these key codes of knowledge in sacred ciphers, and in their largest monuments to the gods—visible yet hidden—until we would one day again be ready.
Is it possible that we are not learning or discovering anything new, but instead remembering? Remembering what we once knew through a multifaceted system of drip fed information being sent out in waves to continually excel our level of consciousness. Each layer building on the last. Each circle intertwining with the web of what has come before it. We are in a great time of awakening, you feel it don’t you? Even when your conscious mind does not yet understand the new information, your superconscious mind is integrating it like a seed takes root in new soil.
New Information for a New Time
Pi is known as the infinite number: a nonrepeating number whose digits continue to infinity, yet it is said to contain every number combination possible. This is another way of saying every bit of information that can ever, or will ever exist; every death and every birth, every strand of DNA, the history and future eons of entire star system are all here (theoretically). This number is simply derived from the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. What a numinous thing sacred geometry is. The FoL holds Pi within it, and Pi holds within a message. Perhaps to extend that everything in existence transcends space and time, as everything is connected consciousness.
This message is clearly recurrent across the ancient world. Pi was imbedded within the megalithic monuments in world defining civilizations such as the Egyptians and the Greeks. It is both spiritual and systematic. Pi was arguably described in ancient Hebrew texts (1 King 7:23). This is tantalizing to those, like myself, who have sought an association between science and spirituality, a bridge to connect the major theologies and humankind.
The vector mathematics present within the FoL were used as the foundation for the Unified Field Theory. The primary pattern of our universe can go into infinity as a logarithmic spiral. It describes zero gravity and acoustic energy. Perhaps, the kind of sound energy that was said to have toppled the walls of Jericho, and overcame gravity to lift 150 ton stones at the Osireion in Egypt (where one of the oldest examples of the FoL is found). Was the intelligence behind the creation of worlds described as a metaphor, or literally in ancient Hebrew texts (as the word), ancient Egyptian texts (as the song), or Hindu and Buddhist texts (as Om the sacred sound of the Universe).
The Language of Light
The FoL is also known as the “Language of Light”. What is language? It is essentially a common agreement that certain sounds or pictures represent various concepts, emotions, or values. Vibrations which carry, or relay, concrete ideas beyond abstraction. Vibration is just frequency, and frequencies affect frequencies. Everything, including us, is a frequency resonating to such a degree as to appear solid. Yet nothing is solid, when looking into the quantum world, we understand, everything is fluctuating between existence and non-existence: between wave and particle.
Electro-magnetic-gravity forces permeate our world and our universe (gravity and electromagnetic forces are one connected force). We are electromagnetic beings, and we are directly impacted by the energy and frequencies of the earth and the cosmos. Look at how our thoughts, mood, and even actions are influenced on a full moon. Look at what the moon, a relatively tiny celestial object, does to the tides of our oceans. There are forces much greater than ourselves, which push and pull upon us. So it may then be presumed that understanding the blueprint and geometry of these forces, brings us towards a deeper understanding of ourselves.
