The first task is to become aware that not all is as it appears. To challenge our paradigm, in order to face our challenges. Many issues loom over not only our species, but all of earth: climate change, the melting ice caps, the recent dooming UN report, the threat of the Amazon. The increasing strangles of a police-state complete with secretive and criminal leaders. Humanitarian issues are a norm, not an exception, such as the crisis in Yemen and the Rohingya refugee crisis affecting many millions of lives, along with the continued persecution of indigenous cultures and minorities worldwide. These are realities, and relatively accessible, to anyone willing to accept them. However, they tend to divide, instead of unite us: because they make us feel powerless.
We cannot discover the nature of our truth, or our power, until we step back and do a clear assessment the world. We cannot change anything if we live in denial. Many people have become numb with apathy, offering a withered submission to whatever fate awaits. While an increasingly large group of others, like myself, are fiercely working to remind the rest that we are not powerless and it is not over yet.
This is a time in which forfeit and indifference are check markers of a system seeking to conquer the will within us, to pound it into a malleable and non-threatening compliance. This means our vigilance, resilience, and a profound dedication to the goodness within us must be continually manifest. We have to question every narrative and be willing to seek the answer.
We were lied to about the "end of the world" and world war three. We were conditioned to believe it would be a nuclear apocalypse. A raging inferno of bombs and devastation. This was an intentional diversion and has worked quite well, most people are relinquished with a real relief that it doesn't appear to be WWIII. In this state we offer little resistance to the true threats we are facing. However the real war is much more subtle, much more pervasive, and much more destructive. It is a war of ideas played upon consciousness itself. A literal battle of wills and perception.
Impressions & projections, whether or not they are true, are powerful, they become reality and will even (often) cause us to reject our own common sense. We are easily influenced and directed by emotional events, or threats of harm. Easily led by our affinity for comfort, even willing to give up freedom, if but for, a sense of, security. Thus, spin and bias has become more lethal than any nuclear warhead. But a second symptom emerges from this situation, and to that end critical independent awareness is our greatest tool. We cannot become dull or tolerant of this point.
The Resistance:
The occupation has extended far beyond any battle field, with precision and without preference. It has seeped its way into living rooms, check out lines, sporting events, and voting booths. It's got spokesmen and public relations representatives. It's endorsement is public and welcomed. It's crimes are headlined as victories. A smart-virus which seeks out every host to divide and devour, control alt delete.
How much of this is an orchestrated entropy urging us towards oblivion? The powder stain residue is clear and present, should we hold up the black-light and do our own forensic analysis. We would see the smoking gun streaks hanging heavy in the skies no longer blue as they were the day the towers fell. Washing up in red tides, giants of the ocean laid waste as gulf beaches are banished into stinking putrid oil fields of profit. A new mantra of the human condition has violated earth, crying, "I can't breathe."
Hands up. Don't shoot.
We don't seem to mind if something is killing us, as long as it's tasty and advertised just right. So we buy the bait, hook line and sinker, gobbled up with little thought, given to a sacrificial and ignorant bliss. This is what they want to take; our care, our compassion, the light behind our eyes that hopes, that dreams, and that is willing to put up a fight.
This is essentially a deep comprehension of love. Many ancient teachings, the greatest spiritual masters, and the most brilliant minds have said this in one way or another. There is only one great whole to which we are each a part of. They say, be the change. The only force, in the history of humanity, that has ever been powerful enough to spontaneously turn mountainous tides on their head, overcoming tremendous darkness and even insurmountable odds is Love. Not just any Love, but a Love backed by profound understanding.
We hold the keys to freedom or bondage. Heal yourself, connect with what is real. When we become aware that we have been manipulated, it no longer takes on the same effect. Just as when you discover someone has been lying to you. Now there is a discernment, a questioning, and a critical skepticism. That is a healthy instinct, along with the unceasing compassion that is at the very bedrock of what humanity means.
Like Truman, we have to seek beyond the boundaries of what we are offered as truth and reality. We have to drive past our fears and break open the rough edges that seek to contain us in an artificial bubble of blissful inaction.
This is the realization brought about by the genuine deep personal metamorphosis. It is an action, a lifestyle, a mindset, an awareness- the only true alchemy. A shift from a polar consciousness into a unified one, from me to we, from fear to love. In a world where billions of people are persuaded day in and day out to buy not only products, but ideas. Love will be the most powerful revolution.
