Perhaps you are one of millions, beginning to understand the truth of what we have cooperated with. Perhaps you are one who wishes to stand for what is right, to be on the right side of history, and support the movement for healing and peace. Perhaps you have made the moral decision to refuse to be used as a tool of an establishment which kills, which destroys. If that is true for you, and even if not, than this is especially for you. It is time to turn the page, and write a new chapter in the constant evolution of humankind.
Our future as a species is not written in stone; it will be steered and decided by the individual actions which direct the collective current of our world. That means that as we individually evolve and make the changes that matter in our way of life, the entirety of our social consciousness and global landscape changes along with us.
The status quo we have been directed towards our entire life is not the only way, and certainly not a sustainable way if we wish for our children and their children to have any kind of future to speak of; one in which they can breathe the air without filtration masks, bask in the sunlight without SPF 5000, and lay on the green grass of the earth before it is scorched off the planet which moves more and more swiftly into a teraformed setting much like Mars. And make no mistake about it, if we continue on with business as usual, that is what we are on a direct collision course with.
Our lives and how we live them have been manufactured, from our very perception to our actions, to bolster the agenda of the corporations and bankers who have taken complete control of what was once a government of democracy. This is why you see commercials piquing your unnecessary interest in products you never needed, this is why you are compelled towards debt and consumption, and this is why we learn in school how to get a job and pay our taxes, not how to grow food or build a home. It is not in the interest of the corporate financiers for us to be sustainable independent people, they want consumers dependent on the system they have created. This is how we allow ourselves to be controlled.
We simply cannot continue going along, wasting, consuming, buying at whatever the cost to the earth and the people. Our lives and the way we live them are causing harm to humanity as a species and irreversible destruction to the earth, our home. Much of what we buy (from food to clothes, from electronics to beauty products) are made through irresponsible and inhumane business practices which are literally stripping away our natural resources, creating holocaust conditions for animals, slashing and burning rainforests, and supporting sweatshop slave labor (just to bring your attention to a few of the issues). A large portion of what we buy is perpetuating the misery of countless millions across the world, animals, women, and children, as well as debasing environmental landscapes in a few mere decades, precious mountains, terrain, water and sky which took billions of years to form, which have a purpose on this planet and in our continued survival on it.
For the past 200 years America has been involved in continuous military pursuits, over the past two decades the justification for these military objectives have become less and less clear. War is so serious an affair that it must never be waged under any less than absolutely transparent circumstances, and as the last resort of defense, not offense, even then, it rarely resolves a dispute without creating multiple fragmenting issues worse than the one it began with. (For an example of this, look at how the occupations which ensued for the war “on terror” in Iraq has resulted in the creation of ISIS.) We are on the doorsteps of a third world war if people do not begin to ask questions, think for themselves, refuse to fight without cause, and recognize that the military initiatives waged by the US are about money, oil resources, opium fields, arms dealings, and implanting artificial governments to gain control of strategic countries with a goal of provoking Russia and China into conflict. You and I both know what that would mean. Three of the largest countries in the world at war means WWIII.
“I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.” Albert Einstein
We cannot continue to idly absolve ourselves from any connection to the costly consequences. So many people are ignoring these real issues. Instead we go out to dinner, watch TV, fill up on gas, and buy more crap. We wipe our ass with paper made from pieces of rainforest, we take a dump in perfectly clean water while 768 million people go without drinking water worldwide; you cannot get more shortsighted than that. If the wording of that sentence bothers you more than that fact, than it is time to prioritize. We are not the privilege we were lucky to be born into, and that concession brings with it the responsibility to behave consciously. The hard truth is we will not survive this, if we don’t do something NOW. We must consider the influence all this has, all the environmental, political, social, and even spiritual implications of these issues. This influence spreads far beyond our own self-centered worlds.
America, I am heartbroken. I am at a loss. Are we really this blind and careless? This easily led? Wars continuing for over a decade and occupations in 80 countries, drone strikes, hundreds of thousands of civilians killed, families destroyed, displaced from their homes, entire infrastructure devastated beyond repair. No access to health care, to food, to shelter. 20,000 people a day starving to death. 200 species going extinct a day. Corporate greed, petro-farming, and chemicals poisoning irreplaceable land, water and sky. Rainforests being clear-cut at the rate of an area the size of Manhattan a week. The lungs of our planet dammit! All of this at the bidding of capitalist millionaires. All of this kept right on track by our participation, by our misunderstanding of the whole truth, by our apathy and denial once we are brought to understand the truth.
Are we cool with this? Is that ok? Are we going to go check out the next season of Orange is the New Black or the Walking Dead, maybe watch a football game? Take another selfie and post about the BBQ we ate for lunch? Is that who we are? I'm asking this directly, sincerely, and urgently. Is all that advertising we see showing us what our lives should look like as material consumers really that effective? Because this needs to stop.
We are more than material beings. We are sentient, we are conscious. And WE, you and me, are accountable for the state of this world. We are responsible for the well being of each other, of our planet, of all life upon it. This is a crisis. And we cannot continue to neglect or deny its reality, regardless of how uncomfortable or inconvenient that reality may be.
Our narcissistic and destructive mindset is embarrassing us, our people, and the species of humanity. The way we are living is a legitimate contributing factor to the suffering and nearly irreconcilable devastation we see in the world. Yes there are those allowing and promoting malicious agendas, but it is US, you and me, who go along with it. We are now living in a time when it is an utter moral imperative to become fully aware of the truth, so we can make the changes that matter, and take action.
The survival of our species has never been guaranteed, we will have to work for it. Our survival depends on the choices we make, what we do, what we are doing, Right Now. We CAN change this tide. We can change it as we see the connections between us and the state of the world. We change it as we become educated. We change it as we change ourselves.
I cannot do this alone, none of us can. I implore you, we need one another. And we need each other to do the right thing, make the right choices, and to become the conscious, responsible, and compassionate species we have always been capable of being in order to step into the greater future of humankind.
We are collectively facing many serious issues worldwide: political issues such as ongoing war, new aggravations which could lead to further war (in Syria, in the Ukraine, etc.), occupations (Iraq), and the gross militarization of police (in the US); social and humanitarian issues such as severe poverty, starvation, human rights violations which continue to go unchecked; environmental issues such as climate change, fracking, tar sands, the oil industries relentless push to drill anywhere it wishes, rainforest destruction, the poisoning of food and water, earth and sky through agro-chemicals widely used by shameless companies putting profit before people, like Monsanto. In response to this we see protests and riots leading to violence as those in power push to force those with the will to stand against these issues back in line.
How do we amend this? How can we turn centuries of chaos back to order? We are out of balance, disconnected from the earth, disconnected from each other and ourselves. Every wedge forged between us creates a bigger gap preventing our progress together as a human family. From how we eat, to the waste we produce, from the way we drive, to the way we listen, we are out of harmony and that is why we see the disharmony as a reflection of ourselves in the world.
Human potential is one of greatness, we are adaptable and resilient. We are capable of cooperation, compassion, and love. We must begin to purposefully coordinate together as our awareness of our power grows, as opposed to unknowingly perpetuating the current crisis through our lack of understanding about where the real power lies.
We have been systematically pitted against one another for over 200 years, nations against nations, race against race, government against people, and all of this is based the persistent deception that we are somehow separate. However it is becoming more and more obvious, to those paying attention, just how interconnected we are, not just to those within our own species, but all life, and every molecule surrounding us. The most intricate network exists, interwoven like a tapestry of life connecting us. This network is not only energetic and spiritual; it is also practical and substantial. Every single thing we do, think, feel and believe affects this universal web and that is key. We are the key—the problem and the solution.
We are capable of a conscious, responsible, peaceful reconstruction of this broken paradigm. We just have to understand how crucial our piece in all this is. As we become aware of the illusions which are capitalized to turn people into pawns we can begin to change. We can recognize the sheer magnitude of these issues does not justify our forfeit to their fate, but rather compels us with the same ferocity to do something, to act. To refuse to support any agenda which escalates suffering, hostility, death and destruction. We must be educated on the facts which allow us to appreciate how we personally continue to inflame an already escalated catastrophe.
To make a real change we can start by removing our fuel from this fire, piece by piece, that fire will suffocate with its own lack of oxygen, with nothing left to consume. This means refusing to fight, refusing to be divided, refusing to buy into the threats made by biased bought media to scare us into justifying further war, this goes for military, for police, and civilians alike. This means becoming vastly educated on the ways the political corruption through corporate interests have intertwined with the social and environmental crisis we are facing. Any business will fail without customers. This means refusing to buy GMO products (which for now means buying organic, or growing your own food). This means refusing to buy products from any company with irresponsible business practices; for instance companies directly responsible for deforestation to produce palm oil. This means drastically reducing your use of oil, plastic and all petro products. This means going against status quo from its corrupted roots.
We are the ones who will change the world. And the world will be changed through greater awareness, through acts of compassion in balance, and through finding out for ourselves what is right versus blindly following what we told is right. The truth will collapse the systems built upon lies. There is no need to defend this truth, like a lion, we will simply set it loose, and it has all the power to defend itself.
We might be conscious enough to agree ‘Yes, we need to treat each other better’, that is a given. Aside from the wars and human error most people are decent enough to recognize being kind to others as a fundamental understanding. But consider the millions of other life forms on this planet, the creatures, the fish, the birds, the trees, the water and soil, consider the planet itself. We as a species have a real talent at the destruction of those. It may be easy enough to do the right thing with people, most people aren’t giving anything up there. But when we are looking at changing our lifestyle from the inside out, changing how we eat, how we produce trash, how we create energy, how we get around, well now we are looking at sacrifice that most people find inconvenient, costly, or even arguably impossible. Doing the right thing was not meant to be easy. Perhaps other species can maintain a constant equilibrium at ease, already naturally aligned through genetically encoded direction, unseen instinctual order which shows the way. But we as humans are out of sync, we have disconnected from those vital intuitions and instincts, cut off from our connection to the earth and each other, and this is why we must put in effort. This is why we must try.
We have spent centuries in darkness, and now over the past few decades we have been awakening back into the dawn of Truth. Every manufactured deception wrangles our consciousness under another ceiling which continues to prevent our progress together as a human family—so we must mentally, consciously, break free.
The world needs you, we all need you. YES YOU!! And what you do truly matters. Think of how detrimental one disconnected, lost, and sick individual can be. Look at how much harm they can cause as a ripple effect. If you need an example, consider Hitler, Charles Manson, consider George Bush for god’s sakes.. Conversely, consider other examples of one guided and balanced individual and the profound lasting effect they can have on people across the world, even across the ages: Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Martin Luther King, Mother Theresa for example. The greatest revolutions in all recorded history have always begun with one individual who through their conscious efforts changed the world.
We need every single one of us to actively work on becoming the most optimal version of ourselves, to balance ourselves, to heal ourselves from the inside out, to promote love, peace, and truth. Because our individual consciousness shapes the collective consciousness, and our collective consciousness shapes the world.
The difference between having sight, and having vision, is that one recognizes the full spectrum of truth objectively, rather than as we would like to see it. As we begin to open our eyes, we can restore our vision of ourselves, the world, and our purpose here. We are so much more than we have been led to believe, and the purpose of life is not a material one, we cannot continue on without recognizing we are all connected. The earth is being torn apart by greed and capitalism. We cannot neglect these problems simply because they make us upset, or they seem negative, or we feel they are too big to change. We are the ones who can change these issues we face, and every day, every hour we ignore them and look away, they grow. Through identifying the roots of these issues, we can begin to change what we are individually doing that is perpetuating those issues.
We have to evolve in our vision, to a vision of a peaceful, responsible, and balanced world which we can create. As we change our vision, our actions change, as we change ourselves, we change our piece in the world, as more and more people do this, we will see a real and lasting change in the evolution of humankind.
Every single thing we do, think, feel, and become aware of affects the whole. This is not some esoteric dogma. We have to change our minds, change consciousness itself, to change the world and our part in it. True transformation is not about knowing anything. It is about transcending what we think we know. Our current mindset has been manufactured within a broken paradigm. This system does not benefit us on an individual or collective level; it damages the fundamental soul of life as a whole. These outdated ways of thinking have poisoned the essential strengths of humanity itself. The spirit of humankind cannot be healed within those flawed parameters. We cannot fix a broken system with the disconnected state of mind that broke it in the first place. Through becoming aware that we are all connected, that every molecule and breathe of our existence is connected to every other living thing in the cosmos—the stars, every cell, and every creature. Every cause has an effect. And every action and inaction has an equal and opposite reaction. There is no obstacle to a universal revolution except the ones we create. Our minds are both the tool of our slavery and the key to our emancipation.
Being part of a meaningful change in this world is not only part of our collective mission, but has now become an urgent ethical imperative. The most important revolution we will ever make, will be within our own self. The real revolution will not be a battle of wills, it will not be an external event, not at first. The first stage of revolution will occur within you as an evolution of consciousness. As you become aware of your connection to everything, you will discover your connection to yourself, and realize that what hurts another, hurts you, that what heals you, heals the world. You will understand that a real revolution means taking responsibility to evolve consciously and piece by piece, that will begin a revolution of conscious evolution for the whole of the world. The greatest gift you have to give to the world, is that of your own self-transformation.
POWER TO THE PEOPLE!
If there is one thing I want people to understand, it is that you are not powerless. All these issues we see in the world, the corruption of political systems used as tools of corporate greed, the environmental destruction we are too scared to think about because the vast extent of it just makes us feel small, the social injustices and human rights abuses that we can barely stomach other than to look away; we feel defeated before we even begin. But we do have the power, and we have had it all along.
We just have to understand the issues as a whole, step back and see the bigger picture, and understand our piece in all of this. There is no need for fierce battles of will to display our autonomy. No need for standing in the streets and shouting. We simply have to see the truth, we are being used. What we watch on TV, what we are told in the darkest institutions of indoctrination, what we are led to believe by prejudiced news sources and bought elected officials, all seek to perpetuate this paradigm of control. Without us to continue fighting, without us dividing against one another according to lies and propaganda, feeding inescapable debt and profit cycles, using unsustainable energy sources, buying toxic products of irresponsible mega-business, we will become something different entirely: a critical thinking, responsible, and effective answer to the question of who is truly in power. We can shift the dynamic of this difficult circumstance.
And the changes we make, you and me, will change the world.~
What you do TODAY, can make a profound difference in tomorrow. All it takes is the slightest shift in your awareness, that subtle shift, all its energy and momentum, create ripples which touch far beyond yourself. That is why the great masters have said “be the change you wish to see in the world.” When you change yourself, master yourself, become centered, embody love, and understanding, you become a powerful transmuter of energies, a creator who can orchestrate real change in the disharmonious bane of a world disconnected from itself. We are here to evolve consciously, connect with each other and all the life on this amazing planet, we are here to grow, to learn and to remember what we have forgotten. LOVE and UNDERSTANDING are perhaps the greatest tools we will ever employ to change, and even save ourselves from ourselves. What you do from here, is up to you.
